Now entering its eighth year, the OSMAC Beach 5s Northern Australian Championships returns to Townsville’s iconic Strand, bringing together teams from across Queensland and beyond for one of Australia’s most unique beach sporting festivals.

Set against the stunning beachfront backdrop of The Strand, the Championships combine fast-paced Beach 5s action with a vibrant festival atmosphere, creating an unforgettable experience for players, families and supporters.

A feature of the event is its extended programming, with matches played under lights on both Friday and Saturday nights. Combined with live commentary, music, food vendors and beachfront entertainment, The Strand comes alive after dark, delivering a unique summer footy experience in Northern Australia.

Experience the excitement of Beach 5s as Townsville once again hosts the northern season showcase of the Summer of Footy.

Saturday 31st October – Sunday 1st November

  • Youth & Schools (U12 Mixed, U13 – 16 Boys & Girls)
  • Depending on registrations age groups may be split playing on one day only.

Winners of Seniors categories receive FREE Team Entry to another Beach 5s event of their choice

Team Categories and Entry Fees:
Premier Beach 5s Men’s $550 per team
Women’s $550 per team
Social Men’s Beach 5s $550
Youth Beach 5s boys & girls (U12s, U13s, U14s, U15s, U16s, U17s & U18s) $295

To secure your team’s spot in our event, the team registration must be completed via Rugby Xplorer and a deposit must be paid as part of the registration process at that time. There will be a final instalment to be paid closer to the date of the event. All registrations will be managed via the Rugby Xplorer system, so no deposit, no entry.

Deposits are as follows:

· Premier Beach 5s Open Men$250· Premier Beach 5s Open Women$200
· Social Men & Masters Beach 5s$200· Youth U12s to U18s boys & girls Beach 5s$150

*Full refunds will be provided should there be any reason that this event may not be able to run, or postponed. The event organiser reserves the right to amalgamate divisions, within safety regulations, as entries or cancellations dictate
