A1 Homes Beach 5s Rugby Festival
Mount Maunganui ~ 6 to 7 December 2025
Now in it’s fourth year, Beach 5s is returning to The Mount off the back of a record year.
The newest five-a-side tackle sport taking the world by storm is a Rugby Union and Rugby League hybrid game without scrums or lineouts.
A weekend on the famous Mount Maunganui golden sand and an inflatable pitch with a backdrop of the picturesque Mauao.

Whether you dream about footy and need an offseason hiss, or think a ‘try’ is a word of encouragement, Beach 5s is for you.
Theres up to five players a side on the field with seven reserves and unlimited subbing. All ages are welcome!
Get your teams sorted for a weekend of sport, vibes, and banter, all while exploring Tauranga’s hot-spots next summer.
Team Categories and Entry Fees:
- Premier Beach 5s Men’s / Premier Beach 5s Women / Mens Social / Mens Masters (30 yrs plus):
- Early bird entry fee $400 per team (maximum 12 players) for entries received to 8 September 2024 (no deposit, full payment required)
- Special entry fee of $450 per team (maximum 12 players) with $100 deposit for entries received to 30 October 2024
- Late entry fee of $500 per team (maximum 12 players) for entries received 1 to 19 November (full payment required)
- Youth Beach 5s (Years 5 and 6 boys, Years 5 and 6 girls, Years 7 and 8 boys, Years 7 and 8 and girls, Years 9 and 10 boys, Years 9 and 10 girls, Year 11 boys, Year 11 girls, Years 12 & 13 boys and Years 12 & 13 girls):
- Entry fee of $280 per team (maximum 12 players) with $100 deposit for entries received to 30 October 2024
- Entry fee of $280 per team (maximum 12 players) for entries received 1 to 19 November (no deposit, full payment required)
Plus winners of Seniors categories receive FREE Team Entry to another Beach 5s events of their choice (Australia).

*Full refunds will be provided should there be any reason that this event may not be able to run, or postponed. The event organisers reserve the right to amalgamate divisions, within safety regulations, due to cancellations or reduced entries in some age divisions.
