Beach 5s Australia presents the first-ever OSMAC Beach 5s Superstars of Origin, a one-of-a-kind event set to make history.

For the first time, the fast-paced action of Beach 5s is coming to Brisbane Metro, with a custom built pop-up beach, delivering an unforgettable experience.

This character driven charity match celebrates the spirit, humour, and camaraderie of our footy greats—all in support of the Mark Hughes Foundation for Brain Cancer research.

Beach 5s Australia New Zealand is dedicated to creating an inclusive and enjoyable “Summer of Footy” that can be played by everyone, regardless of gender or age.

Established in 2018, we are now in our seventh year. In the summer of 2024-2025, we will tour some of the most iconic beach destinations throughout Queensland, New South Wales, and New Zealand.

Beach 5s is not just a game, it’s an on-sand hybrid of Rugby Union and Rugby League, designed to bring fun and excitement to players and spectators in the warmer months of the year. It’s the perfect off-season competition, combined with the love of the beach.

Beach 5s is a contact sport of tackle, no scrums / no line outs, on a pitch that measures 31m x 25m – “Five” players in the field of play – up to “Seven” reserves with unlimited interchange.

Welcome to “Beach 5s Summer of Footy” – Yeppoon, Gold Coast, Townsville, Mount Maunganui NZ, Newcastle and Wollongong.
