The UGL Transport Beach 5s NSW State Championships returns to the iconic sands of Nobbys Beach, bringing together teams from across New South Wales, Queensland and New Zealand for one of Australia’s premier summer beach sporting festivals. As a key event within the national Beach 5s pathway, Newcastle continues to attract players, families and supporters seeking a unique destination-based sporting experience.

Set against Newcastle’s spectacular coastline, harbour precinct and vibrant city centre, the event combines fast-paced Beach 5s action with a relaxed summer atmosphere. From world-class beaches and ocean baths to cafés, restaurants and waterfront attractions, Newcastle provides the perfect backdrop for a weekend away with teammates, family and friends.

Winners of Seniors categories receive FREE Team Entry to another Beach 5s event of their choice

Team Categories and Entry Fees:
Open Women’s $550 per team
Open Men’s $550 per team
Youth & Schools (U12 – U18) $295 

To secure your team’s spot in our event, the team registration must be completed via Rugby Xplorer and a deposit must be paid as part of the registration process at that time. There will be a final instalment to be paid closer to the date of the event. All registrations will be managed via the Rugby Xplorer system, so no deposit, no entry.

Deposits are as follows:

*Full refunds will be provided should there be any reason that this event may not be able to run, or postponed. The event organiser reserves the right to amalgamate divisions, within safety regulations, as entries or cancellations dictate.
