The Beach 5s Australian Championships returns to iconic Greenmount Beach, proudly recognised as the Home of Beach 5s Australia. Established on the Southern Gold Coast in 2018, this flagship event has grown into the pinnacle of the Beach 5s Summer of Footy pathway, bringing together teams from across Australia and New Zealand.
Set between the pristine waters of Greenmount Beach and the vibrant Coolangatta precinct, the Championships combine elite competition with one of Australia’s most sought-after holiday destinations. With world-class beaches, cafés, accommodation, shopping and Coolangatta Airport just minutes away, the Southern Gold Coast offers the ultimate beach sports getaway.
Featuring and showcasing the best teams from across the Beach 5s pathway, the Australian Championships deliver a unique blend of competition, community and coastal lifestyle, making it the highlight of the Beach 5s season.

Winners of Seniors categories receive FREE Team Entry to another Beach 5s event of their choice
Team Categories and Entry Fees:
Premier Beach 5s Men’s $550 per team
Women’s $550 per team
Social Men’s Beach 5s $550
Youth Beach 5s boys & girls (U12s, U13s, U14s, U15s, U16s, U17s & U18s) $295
To secure your team’s spot in our event, the team registration must be completed via Rugby Xplorer and a deposit must be paid as part of the registration process at that time. There will be a final instalment to be paid closer to the date of the event. All registrations will be managed via the Rugby Xplorer system, so no deposit, no entry.
Deposits are as follows:

*Full refunds will be provided should there be any reason that this event may not be able to run, or postponed. The event organiser reserves the right to amalgamate divisions, within safety regulations, as entries or cancellations dictate

From humble beginnings seven years ago, the Beach 5s Australian Championship is now recognised as the premier tournament across Australia and New Zealand.
I applaud the partnership between HSM Group and Experience Gold Coast, forging our city’s reputation as the ‘spiritual home of beach rugby’.
This year, the tournament includes an expanded program with improved facilities and more off-court entertainment for spectators.
